I'm glad you somehow stumbled across this place!

Now that you're here, I suppose you're wondering what this site all about. Maybe not, but I will tell you anyway...

NCMeet is basically my first HomePage project gone completely amok. I had been visiting various chatrooms for people in North Carolina. I was new to North Carolina myself and a newbie online as well. I hoped to maybe meet some people to hang around with in my area because I really didn't know many people here at all. While reading the chat rooms, I noticed that quite often people would post a link to their photo, their homepage, or tell someone to look at their profile etc. Somewhere along the line it dawned on me that it might be nice to have one central area for that sort of thing, and decided to try to set that up myself. So, here it is - My little project to try to bring people from North Carolina and near NC together.

If you have read this far, you might be wondering how you can add your own photo profile or home page link and/or a personal ad here. It's pretty easy and it's FREE. How's THAT for a deal? If you'd like to add your photo profile and/or a link to your HomePage, all you need to do is fill out a form and send it to me. If you'd like your photo profile added CLICK HERE. If you'd like your HomePage link added, CLICK HERE. You can post a personal ad and/or just chat on the Message Boards here as well. That's free too. The whole idea is to meet others in the area - maybe just for friendships, maybe for dating, romance or whatever. That's up to you... (One thing I should mention is that this is NOT a porn site. I won't post nude or "in my undies" of anyone. I really don't want to deal with the fallout I'd probably end up with from that, and I think there are plenty of other places you can find photos of naked people anyway...)

As I said a bit earlier, this is sort of a HomePage gone mad, so the profiles, personals, message boards and HomePage Links aren't all that's here. I'm still working on the place, but you'll find articles that will give you some advice and insight into love, romance, dating and sexual relationships. Also quite a few pages where you'll find newsfeeds on various subjects, including North Carolina/Carolina news. A list of North Carolina online newspapers if you are looking for local news from a particular area of NC, and soon there will be an area with upcoming festivals etc. in NC and surrounding states. You can even play a few games if you're just trying to kill some time!

There is also a fairly extensive shopping "mall" area. You'll find lots of links to various gifts and other things to buy online, both to actual things to buy as well as links to online shops to buy them. There are links to quite a few e-card places and to many dating sites all over the web too. I hope you'll find that area of the site useful too, whether you are looking for something in particular or just want to browse around.
